Entry 1
“ Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. “ Luke 6:26 (KJV)
The truth tends to not be very popular, especially in this day and age. People want others to cater to their emotions. Rules reflect truth, and not desires. God dictates truth because He is in charge. Having created the human race, it is logical for Him to protect His people. Rules are accountable for everyone’s safety. As a society, we are drifting away from rules and standards in the name of comfort. Human sinfulness leads to biases. In a sinful world, it is no longer God’s standard of justice that reigns, rather, man’s passions.
If everyone praises an individual, the individual is probably not speaking authentically. What they are saying is music to everyone’s ears. Truth is intensely confrontational, and it is spoken to steer listeners towards goodness. After Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, it became nearly and impossible for humanity to discern what true goodness consists of/requires. Naturally, people tend to be agreeable with ideas that are pleasurable and easy. When honest people declare truth, they are widely rejected. The vast majority of society do not want to be held accountable for the well-being of others like God calls them to do. It is an inconvenience for them. By veering away from responsibility, they lose sight of sustaining joy. Caring for others produces joy.
God is not pleased with influencers who preach lies. Leading people astray further divides humanity. Obsession with one person is a red flag. Our worship should be exclusively for God. An appealing message may be soothing to the flesh, but a truthful message will sooth the soul.
